Typically, AWS Class E410NiMo-16 electrodes contain 11–13% chromium, 0.08–0.15% carbon, 2–4% nickel, and 0.3–0.6% molybdenum, along with manganese, silicon, and trace elements. This blend gives the weld metal impressive tensile strength, good hardness, and enhanced resistance to corrosion, particularly against pitting and stress corrosion cracking. The mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 550–700 MPa and strong toughness after appropriate heat treatment.
